The Meaning Of The Three-key Alarm Of The Micro-injection Pump And The Method Of Eliminating The Alarm
Jul 11, 2018

There are 3 red alarm keys on the micro syringe pump: NEARLY EMPTY, EMPTY and OCCLUSION. It is necessary to understand the meaning of these 3 key alarms and the method of alarm elimination.

(1) NEARLY EMPTY: There is still 1-2ml of liquid in the syringe when the alarm is given, reminding you that it is about to be used up. If it is continuous medication, it will give you the time of chemical treatment. At this time, do not press STOP button to avoid key drugs. Stop entering the affected condition, press the silence button to ensure that the liquid continues to maintain an effective concentration in the blood.

(2) EMPTY: When the alarm prompt is completely used up, press the STOP button to silence.

(3) OCCLUSION: The alarm indicates that the pipeline is blocked. It is necessary to find out the cause in time. One is that the needle is blocked, the blood can be pumped back, the heparin solution can be pushed, and even the venous access can be reconstructed; the second is the blockage of the pipeline, the compression and reflexion, the misplacement of the three-way switch, and the use of multiple micro-injection pumps for all the veins. The cause is to relieve the fault and open the venous access; the third is to take the needle out of the blood vessel, stop the medication immediately, and reconstruct the venous access; the fourth is the failure of the microinjection pump itself, which needs to be repaired.
